The Blue Study Live series opens with pianist Ted Lo and bassist Justin Siu. More than a decade ago, the duo performed together for an extended period and released the album SPIN, produced and arranged by Justin, with Ted on piano and keyboard throughout. The album was released by Universal Music Hong Kong and left a deep impression on the local jazz scene.

In recent years, the two have pursued different artistic endeavours, but they still occasionally share the stage, always to great anticipation. These rare performances showcase the deep rapport between the two, built on improvisation and storytelling.

On the opening night of The Blue Study Live, the audience will find themselves in an intimate space surrounded by bookshelves and bathed in warm light, enjoying the purest live sounds. The evening will feature jazz classics and improvisational pieces, revisiting the many years of camaraderie, creativity, and friendship.
